Cycle Of A Farm: 4 hands-on activities at a farm that follow the nutrient cycle.

1 hour: $100.00
1/2 day 9:00am - 1:00pm or 12:00noon to 4:00pm: $150.00
Full day 9:00am - 4:00pm: $250.00

Apprenticeship

Each season the farm has interns that work and live on the farm from early May to September / October in exchange for food, lodgings and education. Part of ManoRun Farms mandate is to support others to learn more about their food and how to grow it. We support others to grow their own food and in some cases become farmers.




Internship Highlights

Small Diversified farm including opportunities to learn about growing and managing:
  • Vegetables
  • Grains
  • Hay
  • Livestock
  • Pasture
Apprenticeship

Intern Focus - Take a day each week to work on your focus area of choice. Some examples are bread baking, membership, urban agriculture, herbal remedies, renewable energy, farm construction, farm accounting, food preparation/preserving and more!

Workshops and Farm tours - Each month interns will participate in workshops and farm tours. These educational opportunities include; organic agriculture methods, new farm business training, small equipment mechanics, starting seedlings, soil nutrition, working with livestock, biodynamics and more.

Work Requirements

Work hours: 7:30am - 5:00pm Monday to Saturday
Tasks: planting, weeding and harvesting
Remuneration: fresh organic produce, room and board (optional), workshops, training tours on other local farms and hands on learning experience.
